Territories goes for a first Group One success in the Prix Jean Prat over a mile at Chantilly, France, on Sunday, July 12.

The three-year-old colt, trained by Andre Fabre, stayed on strongly to take second behind Gleneagles in the Newmarket Classic, the Group One QIPCO 2000 Guineas over a mile on May 2.

He made a winning seasonal return with a straightforward two-length victory in the Group Three Prix de Fontainebleau, also over a mile, at Longchamp, France, on April 12.

Territories ended his juvenile campaign with two appearances over seven furlongs at Longchamp including an unlucky run in the Group One Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere in October, when he was promoted to second behind Full Mast after suffering interference from Gleneagles near the line.

The son of Invincible Spirit finished third to Full Mast in the Group Three Prix La Rochette in September.

Mickael Barzalona, who has ridden Territories on both his starts this season, partners the colt again.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin commented: "Territories is in great form. He has overcome the stone bruise that ruled him out of Royal Ascot, which was nothing serious.

"He has got everything in his favour and should run well."

Territories, drawn five, takes on seven rivals including Full Mast, Dubai Dewhurst Stakes runner-up Kodi Bear and Jersey Stakes scorer Dutch Connection.

Godolphin has won the Prix Jean Prat through Almutawakel (1998) and Aesop's Fables (2012).
