Tribalist runner-up in G3 Prix Perth

Racenews

Tribalist produced another battling performance as he went down by a length and a half to Facteur Cheval in the G3 Prix Perth at Saint-Cloud, France, on Saturday, 22 October.

After racing in a close fourth for the first furlong, Mickael Barzalona switched the Andre Fabre-trained three-year-old down the inside rail to settle in third behind Reach For The Moon and Fire Of The Sun.

Tribalist stayed on as all seven runners tacked over to the stands’ rail in the straight and the G1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains third established a narrow advantage soon after.

The Farhh colt rallied after being strongly pressed on both sides by Facteur Cheval and Rosacea entering the final furlong. Facteur Cheval took up the running over half a furlong out and went clear, with Tribalist keeping on to finish a length and a half ahead of Rosacea.
