Tribalist completes G2 Prix du Muguet three-peat

Tribalist captured the G2 Prix du Muguet for a third successive year as he readily made all to beat Vertbois in the Saint-Cloud highlight on Thursday, 1 May.
Last season’s G1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp winner was quickly into his stride and soon established a length lead over Aigle Vaillant, with Vertbois held up towards the rear in sixth.
No Lunch tried to close on Tribalist in the straight but could not mount a serious challenge to the Farhh entire, who kicked on into a four-length lead for Mickael Barzalona with a furlong to race.
Tribalist never looked in any danger and crossed the line two lengths clear of Vertbois, who stayed on well to grab second in a photo with Zoom as trainer Andre Fabre recorded a 1-2-3 in the race.
Mickael Barzalona, who has partnered Tribalist on all seven of his Group-race wins, said: “I am delighted to be able to ride Tribalist again today. He is incredible, especially here at Saint-Cloud, and I hardly need to do much.
“He has enormous quality, and it's deserved that he has made his mark on this race. He can express himself best at a course with a long straight and a well-defined bend, when he can get into his rhythm and show his strength.”
