Sundoro second in G3 Prix Bertrand de Tarragon

Racenews

Sundoro added another G3 placing to her productive campaign when filling the runner-up spot in the Prix Bertrand de Tarragon at Chantilly, France, on Saturday, 17 September.

The half-sister to Pinatubo has blossomed as a four-year-old for Henri-Alex Pantall, winning a Listed race in addition to finishing second in the G3 Grand Prix de Vichy and a good fifth in the G1 Darley Prix Jean Romanet.

Having shown good speed from the stalls, Sundoro was taken back to settle in fifth of the seven runners by Mickael Barzalona.

The Sea The Stars homebred stayed on strongly after being switched out approaching the final quarter mile and moved up to second over a furlong from home.

Sundoro galloped out well without challenging Mrs Fitzherbert, who prevailed by a length and a quarter.
