Ilda Rosa pipped at the post in G3 Hamburger Stuten Meile

Ilda Rosa filled the runner-up spot for a third consecutive start as she was caught on the line by Santagada in the G3 Hamburger Stuten Meile at Hamburg, Germany, on Sunday, 6 July. 

Stepping up in class after good efforts in a pair of Longchamp Listed races, Ilda Rosa was prominent throughout and disputed second on the outside of Hit It as La Pasionaria led the seven runners. 

Ilda Rosa moved up to a clear second leaving the back and stayed on under Cristian Demuro to head La Pasionaria with a furlong and a half to race. 

The Henri-Alex Pantall-trained filly fought gamely when Quebec, Koffi Kick and Santagada laid down strong challenges inside the final furlong but was headed in the shadow of the post to go down by a neck.
