G3 second for Switching

Switching ran well when runner-up in the G3 Prix de Flore over an extended 10 furlongs at Saint-Cloud, France, on Sunday, October 23.

The three-year-old Street Cry filly, trained by Andre Fabre, was held up third last of the nine runners towards the outside by Mickael Barzalona.

Switching made progress and was brought widest into the straight. She ran on well to challenge a furlong and half out and kept on without just having the pace of the winner, Loving Things, who won by a length and a quarter in 2m 15.58s on good to soft going. There was a head back to the third Furia Cruzada.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin said: "Switching has run very well again.

"She is a most consistent filly and we hope to find another chance for her before the end of the year.

"It would be lovely to retire her as a black-type winner."
