G3 second for Life Of Dreams in Musidora Stakes

Racenews

Life Of Dreams backed up a highly promising debut success with a staying-on second in the G3 Musidora Stakes at York, UK, on Wednesday, 11 May.

The Charlie Appleby-trained filly, an easy winner of a Newbury maiden in mid-April, raced in a clear fourth in the early stages of the Oaks trial before taking slightly closer order for William Buick after the first three furlongs.

Life Of Dreams made good headway down the stands’ rail to go second approaching the final furlong and saw out the extended mile and a quarter well, going down by five and a half lengths to impressive winner Emily Upjohn.

Charlie Appleby said: “It was a pleasing effort from Life Of Dreams on only her second career start. We will take a view over the next week or so about the Oaks, especially as we feel that she is going to be suited by going a mile and a half, but we also have the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot to consider.”
