Francis to miss Melbourne Spring Carnival

Francis Of Assisi will not race in Melbourne this Spring due to the hairline fracture of his pelvis that was sustained in the lead up to the Caulfield Cup.  

Speaking from Newmarket, UK, trainer Charlie Appleby said: ‘He is comfortable and recovering well but unfortunately he will miss the Spring Carnival. We will get him home to Newmarket before deciding his future plans.’
