Arabian Crown aiming to reign in G3 Glorious Stakes

Arabian Crown seeks another strong performance over a mile and a half in the G3 Glorious Stakes at Goodwood, UK, on Saturday, 2 August.

The Charlie Appleby-trained four-year-old has run creditably on his two previous outings at the trip, finishing fourth on his return from a long absence in the G2 Dubai City Of Gold in March and taking third in the G2 Princess Of Wales’s Stakes at Newmarket’s July Festival.

Arabian Crown has posted a pair of G3 wins over 10 furlongs, dominating the Ghaiyyath Zetland Stakes on his final juvenile outing before another decisive victory on his three-year-old return in Sandown Park’s Classic Trial.

Charlie Appleby said: “Arabian Crown put up a pleasing effort in the Princess Of Wales’s Stakes and came out of the race well. The ground was quick enough at Newmarket and he should enjoy the slower conditions here.”
