Wise Approach takes Newbury Listed route

Royal Ascot runner-up Wise Approach drops down in class for the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes at Newbury, UK, on Friday, 18 July.
The Charlie Appleby-trained half-brother to Perfect Power stayed on strongly to go down by two and a quarter lengths to Charles Darwin in the G2 Norfolk Stakes.
A debut winner over the Norfolk Stakes course and distance in April, Wise Approach steps back up to six furlongs having finished fourth under a penalty on his previous appearance over the trip at York in May.
Charlie Appleby said: “Wise Approach came out of Ascot well and we feel that stepping back up to six furlongs will suit. If he runs to anything near the level of his Norfolk Stakes form, it should make him very competitive in this grade.”
