Godolphin jockey William Buick says he is looking forward to riding at Saturday's G1 Chipping Norton Stakes meeting in Sydney, which has been transferred to Royal Randwick from Warwick Farm due to construction delays.

Buick rode Tarquin to win last year's G2 Pago Pago Stakes for Godolphin at Rosehill on a lighting visit to Sydney - and he is hoping for a similar outcome this weekend.

He has four rides at Randwick, including G1 Metropolitan winner Magic Hurricane in the G1 Chipping Norton Stakes and G1 VRC Crown Oaks third place Ambience in the G2 Surround Stakes over 1,400m.

"I feel it's a great privilege to be asked to go down to ride for Godolphin again in Australia, even if it is only for a weekend here or a couple of days there," Buick said.

"It is one of the major attractions of riding for a stable with such a fantastic global set-up. It's a wonderful opportunity. As a jockey, I find Australian racing sharpens you up a bit."

"John O'Shea, Darren Beadman, James McDonald are part of a great team, and I feel lucky to be joining them again for a short time. I am really looking forward to it," he said.

Buick is currently riding in Dubai. Since last riding in Sydney, Buick has ridden the winners of the Dubai World Cup and Irish Derby.
