Wedding Toast steps back up to Grade One level in the Ogden Phipps Stakes over an extended mile at Belmont Park, USA, on Saturday, June 6.

The Kiaran McLaughlin-trained mare stormed to an impressive four-length success at the same course on her latest appearance in the mile Grade Two Ruffian Stakes on May 9.

She kept on to finish fifth on her only previous Grade One start in the seven-furlong Madison Stakes at Keeneland on April 4 and started the year with two outings at Gulfstream Park, including a comfortable win in the non-graded Miami Shores Handicap, also over seven furlongs, on January 7.

The five-year-old boasts an impressive record at Belmont Park, having gained two easy wins at the course in 2013, including an easy success in the non-graded Belle Cherie Stakes, in addition to her Ruffian Stakes victory.

Jose Lezcano, who has partnered the daughter of Street Sense on her five most recent outings, keeps the ride.

Kiaran McLaughlin commented: "Wedding Toast is doing very well. She loves Belmont Park and loves this distance.

"Untapable is the big favourite and the one to beat but Wedding Toast is coming in off her best race and is doing very well."

Wedding Toast opposes five fillies including five-time Grade One winner Untapable and Ruffian Stakes runner-up Princess Violet.

It's Tricky captured the 2012 Ogden Phipps Stakes for Godolphin.
