Trio bidding for Ellis Park Stakes prizes

Shared Sense (pictured), Adventuring and Gershwin all go in search of further Stakes success at Ellis Park, USA, on Saturday, 7 August.

Four-year-old Shared Sense (Brian Hernandez Jr) lines up in the Tri-State Overnight Stakes over a mile on dirt, having posted two G3 victories for Brad Cox last year in the Indiana Derby and Oklahoma Derby.

Cox is also responsible for this season’s Bourbonette Oaks scorer Adventuring (James Graham), who makes a second straight appearance on turf in the extended-mile Kentucky Downs Preview Dueling Grounds Oaks.

The Michael Stidham-trained Gershwin (Mitchell Murrill) races on turf for the first time in the nine-furlong Kentucky Downs Preview Dueling Grounds Derby following a string of good efforts on dirt, headed by a decisive win in the G2 Penn Mile in May.
