Four-year-old fillies Lucida and Devonshire face each other for the third time this season in the G2 Kilboy Estate Stakes over nine furlongs at the Curragh, Ireland, on Sunday, July 17.

The pair met in the mile G2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 15, when Lucida (Jim Bolger/Kevin Manning) came home sixth, four places ahead of Devonshire (Willie McCreery/James Doyle), behind Godolphin's impressive winner Usherette.

Devonshire, by Fast Company, gained the biggest success over her career the time before, with a decisive two-length victory in the G2 Lanwades Stud Stakes over a mile at the Curragh on May 21 - a race in which Lucida kept on to finish fourth.

Lucida, a daughter of Shamardal, finished third on her latest start in the 10-furlong G1 Sea The Stars Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh on June 26 and was also placed in two G1 races last season, including when second in the QIPCO 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Willie McCreery said: "Devonshire is in great form and the ground should suit her - there's due to be a proper bit of rain at the Curragh ahead of Sunday.

"She will need to get everything right to win but she has been successful in a G2 at the Curragh already this year and returns there in great form."

The field of 14 for the Kilboy Estate Stakes also features Pretty Polly Stakes runner-up Bocca Baciata, G2 German 1,000 Guineas winner Hawksmoor and last year's Investec Oaks third Lady Of Dubai.
