Impressive Saratoga debut for Endorsed

Two-year-old colt Medaglia d’Oro colt Endorsed (Kiaran McLaughlin/Joe Bravo) made an eye-catching debut in a maiden race at Saratoga Race Course, USA, on Saturday August 18. Endorsed flew home in the stretch to win the six-furlong contest by a neck over the highly regarded Ahead of Plan, stopping the clock in 1:11.22.

Endorsed earned an 89 Beyer Speed Figure for his win, which is the highest debut Beyer for a two-year-old so far this year, and the fourth highest two-year-old Beyer overall this year. It’s also the highest debut Beyer for a two-year-old colt at Saratoga in the past three years.

Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, Endorsed is the second foal out of Godolphin’s G1 Gazelle Stakes winner Dance Card (Tapit).

Potential next spots for Endorsed include the G3 Iroquois Stakes at Churchill Downs on September 15, the G1 Champagne at Belmont Park on October 6, or the G1 Breeders’ Futurity at Keeneland on October 6.
