Godolphin racks up major winners on three continents

J A McGrath

It is hard to recall a single weekend that produced more encouragement for the future internationally at Godolphin.

The stable’s new Australian star, Kementari, put himself firmly in the G1 Doncaster Mile picture with a resounding victory in the G1 Randwick Guineas in Sydney.

The promising colt Enticed reinforced his claims for a crack at the G1 Kentucky Derby when sauntering home with the G3 Gotham Stakes in New York.

And Charlie Appleby ensured Godolphin dominated the ‘Super Saturday’ meeting at Meydan when winning with Jungle Cat, Blair House and Hawkbill.

Hugh Anderson, managing director of Godolphin UK and Dubai, said: “Godolphin has excelled on three continents. It’s what we are all about — international sporting success at the highest level.

“2018 has started very well for us and we are all delighted for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed and the whole team,” Anderson added.
