The examination confronting the talented filly Ghisoni in the G2 Dane Ripper Stakes at Eagle Farm on Saturday, June 11 became more difficult at the barrier draw, but the task remains well within her abilities.

Ghisoni (John O'Shea/James McDonald) confirmed her place among the highest echelon of Australia's three-year-old fillies with her last start victory in the G3 Glenlogan Park Stakes at Doomben two weeks ago.

That success left the stable with a choice of G1 targets from which it has chosen the G1 Tattersall's Tiara, a race for fillies and mares, to be run at Eagle Farm on June 25.

But immediate attention is on the G2 Dane Ripper Stakes, a race in which she is the star attraction.

"She's drawn wide, but she's coped with that before," O'Shea said.

"Last start she went up and sat outside the leader and ran one of the fastest times for the 1350m they've seen at Doomben in 20 years. It's never good to be drawn wide, but she has class and quality."

Ghisoni has 1400m to run in the Dane Ripper, the same trip at which she set a record at Randwick when she won the G2 Surround Stakes in February, beating the subsequent G1 winner Single Gaze.

"She makes the speed and can sustain it," O'Shea said. "It would give us a lot of satisfaction to see a good filly like this continue to run well."

O'Shea had contemplated running Ghisoni in Saturday's G1 Stradbroke Handicap, a race that had also been a possibility for Federal who will run instead in the G2 QTC Cup with Same Clipperton to ride.

"He comes into this off what have turned out to be a couple of pretty good form races at Randwick and Scone where he wasn't far behind Music Magnate who has gone on to win a G1. He wouldn't have been out of place in the Stradbroke, but we're happy to go this way," O'Shea said.

Godolphin's Group race contingent in Brisbane is completed by Unbreakable who comes back in trip to the 1600m of the G2 Queensland Guineas.

Unbreakable (John O'Shea/James McDonald) ran well up to 2000m in three starts in Melbourne before moving up to the 2200m of the G3 Grand Prix Stakes at Doomben last month in which he finished eighth.

"James (McDonald) said the trip had seen him out last start and that was probably the same in Melbourne the start before. He's been freshened up, he looks really well, he's drawn nicely, so it looks like a good race for him," O'Shea said.
