G3 victory in Turkey for Promising Run

Promising Run was the game winner of the G3 Istanbul Trophy over a mile on turf at Veliefendi Racecourse, Istanbul, Turkey on the evening of Saturday, September 3.

The three-year-old Hard Spun filly was quickly away under Mickael Barzalona and raced in second towards the outside.

Promising Run, a close third after straightening up, kept on to take the lead a furlong out and ran on courageously to beat Willpower by a half-length in 1m 34.86s on ground described as good.

Saeed bin Suroor, the winning trainer, said: "She has run a really good race.

"I was happy with the way Promising Run finished and it was a good result for her tonight.

"She has run well previously this season. There are no plans at the moment, though we could take her to Dubai."
