Spieth steps up to G3 level for the nine-furlong Discovery Stakes on dirt at Aqueduct, USA, on Saturday, November 25.
The three-year-old son of Bernardini has only finished out of the first four once in seven starts for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin and kept on to be second on his latest outing in a mile allowance race at Aqueduct on November 4.
Spieth came home third in another allowance race over a mile at Belmont Park on September 16, having powered to a comprehensive victory in a nine-furlong maiden at Saratoga on August 16.
Irad Ortiz Jr, successful on Spieth at Saratoga, resumes riding the Godolphin colt, who takes on five rivals headed by G1 Preakness Stakes third Senior Investment and G3 runner-up True Timber.
