Agathonia back at Hanover for G3 test

Racenews
Agathonia returns to Hanover, Germany, for her G3 debut in the Herbst Stutenpreis over 11 furlongs on Sunday, October 29.

The three-year-old Street Cry filly, trained by Henri-Alex Pantall, stayed on well to finish runner-up, beaten a neck, by Ostana in a Listed race over the same course and distance on October 1.

Ridden by Daniele Porcu for the first time, she lines up against 11 rivals including Diana Storm and Erica, who were second and third in the G2 T Von Zastrow Stutenpreis at Baden-Baden in September, G2 German 1,000 Guineas third Arazza and Ostana.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin commented: “Agathonia is a very straightforward filly and ran well over this course and distance on her latest appearance.

“She is in good form and we hope that she can run a nice race.”
