Abduction drops back to a mile for the Group Three XXXX Sunshine Coast Guineas at Sunshine Coast, Australia, on Saturday, May 16.

The three-year-old filly, trained by John O'Shea, came home seventh over a mile and a quarter on her latest start in the Group Three TAB Adrian Knox Stakes at Royal Randwick on April 6.

She was a close eighth in the Group One Coolmore Classic over seven and a half furlongs at Rosehill Gardens on March 14, and finished down the field in the seven-furlong Group Two Surround Stakes at Warwick Farm on February 28.

Abduction ran two excellent races at Flemington in November, taking fifth in the Group One Crown Oaks over 12 and a half furlongs and filling the runner-up position in the 10-furlong Group Two Racing.com Wakeful Stakes.

The daughter of Street Cry scored by a neck in the Listed Bacardi Reginald Allen Quality over seven furlongs at Rosehill Gardens in September.

Timothy Bell partners Abduction for the first time.

John O'Shea said: "Abduction has been ticking along nicely and her form is more than competitive for a race of this nature.

"She has been in great order at home. We couldn't be happier with her and, so long as she gets a bit of luck in running from gate four, I think she will be in the finish."

Abduction lines up against 17 other three-year-olds including Group One Seven News Australian Oaks second Winx, Gold Coast Group Three winner Worthy Cause and Group One Australian Guineas sixth Merion.
