Two-time Olympian Boyd Martin returns to Japan for racehorse retraining clinics

Following last year’s success, US Olympic eventer Boyd Martin is returning to Japan for two more retired racehorse retraining clinics.

The sessions offer participants the opportunity to receive expert advice from Boyd, while gaining a further understanding of the versatility of thoroughbreds who have moved on to new careers after racing.

The clinics will be jointly hosted by the National Riding Club Association of Japan (NRCAJ), the Japan Racing Association (JRA) and Godolphin, and will be held in Shizuoka and Fukuoka on the following dates:

Monday, 26 to Wednesday, 28 November:

Gotemba Equestrian Center

1415-1 Hitosugi, Gotemba,

Shizuoka 412-0005 Japan

Friday, 30 November to Sunday, 2 December:

Fukuoka Equestrian Center

564 Mushirouchi, Koga,

Fukuoka 811-3121 Japan

This year, 38 former racehorses have been invited to participate and members of the public are welcome to watch free of charge and do not need to register to attend.

This is a great opportunity for anyone already working with, or interested in working with retired racehorses, to improve their skills.
