Tha'ir and Tumbaga gave Godolphin a one/two in the local Group Two International France Galop - FRBC Anatolia Trophy over 10 furlongs on Polytrack at Veliefendi, Turkey, on Saturday, September 5.

Saeed bin Suroor sent out both horses, with Tha'ir partnered by Stephane Pasquier and Tumbaga by Harry Bentley.

Tha'ir, a five-year-old New Approach horse, was held up in fourth as four-year-old E Dubai colt Tumbaga took the 11-strong field along.

He progressed to second on the far side and came through to challenge his stable companion in the straight and led over a furlong out.

Tha'ir went on to win by two lengths from Tumbaga in 2m 5.52s, with the third, Temelhan, a further three and a half lengths back.

Saeed bin Suroor said: "I am delighted with Tha'ir and Tumbaga - they both ran very well.

"We will take them back to Dubai to race there."

Godolphin has won the International France Galop - FRBC Anatolia Trophy four times, with the earlier victories coming through Windhoek (2014), Hunter's Light (2012) and Balius (2009).
