James McDonald, Godolphin's No 1 jockey in Australia, has picked up six rides at Royal Ascot this week.

New Zealand-born McDonald, who is on target to regain the Sydney jockeys' title, is in the UK specifically to partner visiting sprinter Holler in Saturday's G1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes, over six furlongs.

But he will join his UK-based 'team mates' William Buick and James Doyle, riding in several races at Europe's most glittering race meeting.

McDonald rides Qewy in Tuesday's Ascot Stakes and Kananee in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes on the same first day card.

On Wednesday, he rides Carry On Deryck in the Royal Hunt Cup and Quality Time in the Listed Sandringham Stakes, while on Friday he is set to join forces with New Year's Night in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes.

Then, McDonald will ride Holler in the Diamond Jubilee on the final day.
