Supreme bid by Dutch Connection

Dutch Connection returns to action in the G3 Supreme Stakes over seven furlongs at Goodwood, UK, on Sunday, August 27.
 
The five-year-old horse, trained by Charlie Hills, is a G2 winner over the course and distance, having taken the Lennox Stakes in July, 2016. 
 
He was also the three quarters of a length runner-up to Toormore in the same contest in 2015 and captured a seven-furlong maiden at the course in 2014.
 
He began 2017 by finishing sixth to Ribchester in the G1 Queen Anne Stakes over a mile at Royal Ascot on June 20 and was last seen out when occupying the same finishing position in the G2 Minstrel Stakes over seven furlongs at the Curragh, Ireland, on July 16.
 
Charlie Hills said: “Dutch Connection has had a light campaign this year and I am looking forward to running him again.
 
“We haven’t had any problems with him and we know he likes the track at Goodwood.”
 
Jim Crowley takes the ride on Dutch Connection who is drawn in stall nine in the Supreme Stakes and his eight rivals include Listed winners Viscount Barfield, Solomon’s Bay and Tomyris.
