Scents Blood back on G3 trail in Radio Nikkei Sho

Consistent colt Scents Blood returns to G3 company for the Radio Nikkei Sho at Fukushima, Japan, on Sunday, 29 June.

The Takashi Saito-trained three-year-old has finished first or second on five of his six starts, with his only off-the-board finish coming in January’s G3 Keisei Hai at Nakayama, in which he faded to eighth.

Narrowly denied on his first two appearances, Scents Blood scored by a nose in a Kyoto maiden in October and prevailed by the same margin in a Nakayama allowance race at the end of March.

The Rulership homebred was caught in the final strides to go down by a head to Right Track in the Listed Shirayuri Stakes on his most recent outing at Kyoto earlier this month.
