Regia Marina shared G3 third

Four-year-old filly Regia Marina stepped up to G3 company for the first time to run third in the Seaway Stakes over seven furlongs on Polytrack at Woodbine, Canada, on Saturday, August 27.

The daughter of Medaglia d’Oro broke well under Gary Boulanger and was settled in fourth of the six runners as a strong pace was set up front by Midnight Miley, with the first two furlongs run in 23.09s and the half-mile in 45.42s.

Regia Marina, trained by Eoin Harty, moved up on the inside to take third entering the straight and just held on to that position, sharing it with Cactus Kris at the line.

Midnight Miley made all to triumph in 1m 22.07s.
