Prix d'Harcourt gives Cloth Of Stars chance to sparkle again

Cloth Of Stars goes for a second Pattern success this season in the G2 Prix d'Harcourt (17.10hrs local time) over 10 furlongs at Chantilly, France, on Sunday, April 9.

The four-year-old colt, representing Andre Fabre and ridden by Mickael Barzalona, made an impressive return to action in the G3 Prix Exbury over the same trip at Saint-Cloud on March 19, when quickening strongly for a length and a quarter victory.

Three of his four starts last season came at Saint-Cloud. The son of Sea The Stars captured both the G3 Prix La Force in April and the G2 Prix Greffulhe over 10 furlongs, and also finished third in the 12-furlong G1 Grand Prix de Paris.

Cloth Of Stars lines up against 10 others including G1 Hong Kong Vase third One Foot In Heaven and last season's Grand Prix de Paris fourth Mekhtaal.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin commented: "Cloth Of Stars was very impressive in the Prix Exbury and came out the race very well.

"This race is the natural next step. He is stepping back up in class and this will be a tougher race but he is in very good form at the moment."
