Paris Lily continues her tour of the East Coast of the United States as she tackles the G3 Monmouth Oaks at Monmouth Park on Saturday, 26 July.

The Brendan Walsh-trained filly heads to New Jersey on the back of visits to Delaware and Maryland, including coming home fourth on her latest outing in the G3 Delaware Oaks.

Paris Lily ran a better race in the G2 George E Mitchell Black-Eyed Susan Stakes at Pimlico in May, in which she was collared close home to go down by three-quarters of a length to Margie’s Intention.

Michael Banahan, Director of Bloodstock, Godolphin USA, said: “Paris Lily will try to get a Graded win in the G3 Monmouth Oaks, although she will have to turn the tables on Fondly who beat her last time out. We feel speed is her weapon and it didn’t get used to full advantage in the Delaware Oaks.

“Hopefully, she breaks well and can dictate from the front. Monmouth is a speed-favouring track and Paco Lopez is the right partner to take full advantage of the track bias. We expect her to run well and hopefully get the Graded win.”
