Neck second for Nostalgic in G3 Turnback the Alarm Handicap

Nostalgic finished strongly to go down by a neck to Battle Bling in the G3 Turnback the Alarm Handicap at Aqueduct, USA, on Friday, 4 November.

An eventful start to the nine-furlong contest saw the field reduced to four when Exotic West unseated her rider leaving the gates. Battle Bling was sent on into the early lead ahead of W W Fitzy and First To Act, with the Bill Mott-trained Nostalgic held up in last.

Nostalgic took third from First To Act entering the far turn and passed W W Fitzy for second turning for home as Battle Bling kicked for home in front at the top of the lane.

Battle Bling opened up a clear lead approaching the final furlong but Nostalgic made significant late inroads under Hector Diaz Jr, with the line coming just in time for the all-the-way winner.
