Natural Scenery for Park Hill

Racenews

Progressive stayer Natural Scenery steps up to G2 level for the Park Hill Stakes over an extended mile and three quarters at Doncaster, UK, on Thursday, September 14.

The four-year-old Dubawi filly has run very well in two of the UK’s top staying heritage handicaps this season, taking third in the Ebor over 14 furlongs on turf at York on August 26 and filling the runner-up spot in the extended two-mile Northumberland Plate on Tapeta at Newcastle on July 1.

Natural Scenery also performed well on her only previous Pattern race appearance, coming home a close fourth behind another Godolphin runner, Endless Time, in the 14-furlong G3 Lillie Langtry Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on August 3.

Her trainer Saeed bin Suroor said: “Natural Scenery ran very well at York on her latest start and is in good form.

“She is ready to go again and this looks to be a nice race before we look at taking her out to Australia.”

Natural Scenery, with Jim Crowley in the saddle, faces nine fillies and mares including Dubka and Melodic Motion, who were second and third in the Lillie Langtry Stakes, plus last year’s Cesarewitch Heritage Handicap winner Sweet Selection.

The filly holds an entry in the G1 Emirates Melbourne Cup over two miles at Flemington, Australia, on Tuesday, November 7.
