La Quemada back in G3 company for Shirasagi Stakes

La Quemada looks to build on a recent Listed success on his return to G3 level in the Shirasagi Stakes at Hanshin, Japan, on Sunday, 22 June. 

The Teruhiko Chida-trained son of American Patriot steps back up to a mile after quickening powerfully to take Kyoto’s Azuchijo Stakes over seven furlongs at the start of the month. 

A dual Stakes winner over a mile, La Quemada also ran well over nine furlongs in February as he grabbed third on the line in the G3 Kokura Daishoten.
