Ingratiating third in G1 Manikato Stakes

A typically brave effort has carried Ingratiating into third place in the G1 Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday, 22 October.

The three-tear-old son of Frosted raced up to his best form to chase home the older horses Jonker and Bella Nipotina who fought finish in the 1,200 event.

After being slightly tardy out of the gates, Ingratiating drove through to be just behind the leading pack with 250m to run and finished powerfully to go down by 1-1/2 lengths.

A winner of three races, including the G3 Vain Stakes, Ingratiating has now registered three G1 placings, his latest effort coming after his second in the Blue Diamond Stakes and third in the Golden Slipper during his two-year-old season.
