Immersive returns in Monomoy Girl Stakes

Undefeated champion Immersive makes her belated three-year-old return in the Monomoy Girl Stakes at Churchill Downs, USA, on Saturday, 14 June.
The Nyquist homebred was crowned Champion Two-Year-Old Filly at the 2024 Eclipse Awards following an outstanding juvenile campaign that included a hat-trick of G1 wins in the Spinaway Stakes, Darley Alcibiades Stakes and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies.
Trained by Brad Cox, Immersive was expected to be a leading contender for the Kentucky Oaks – a race won by stablemate Good Cheer – but missed the first part of the season due to bone bruising.
Michael Banahan, Director of Bloodstock, Godolphin USA, said: “Immersive has continued to train well since she came back from her extended break. Brad has been very happy with her, and she breezed nicely last Sunday in preparation for her seasonal debut.
“It’s exciting to get the champion back racing again, hopefully she will be able to keep her win streak alive and use this as a prep for the CCA Oaks next month in Saratoga. We expect her to run well. Manny Franco is flying in from New York to retain their partnership.”
