Godolphin trainer John O'Shea has shelved plans to run Holler in the G1 Darley July Cup at Newmarket (UK) and will concentrate now on preparing the colt for a campaign in the Melbourne Spring later in the year.

Holler finished seventh, beaten five and a quarter lengths by classy winner Twilight Son, in the G1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes, over six furlongs, on June 18, the final day of Royal Ascot.

"He's come out of the race well, but he'll have a break now, and we will get him ready for the big races in the Spring at home," O'Shea said.

"The race that springs to mind is the Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley (on Oct 21). He loves the Valley, and has run some big races there.

"But having said that, I believe he has benefited from his race up the straight at Ascot, he will have learned a lot," the trainer said.
