Godolphin trainer John O'Shea has confirmed the G1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes, over six furlongs, on June 18 as the Royal Ascot target for Australian sprinter Holler.

The five-furlong G1 King's Stand Stakes on June 14 had also been under consideration, but in the end, O'Shea decided on the race in which he expects the son of Commands to best be able to settle into a racing rhythm.

"There was always a danger that they might go too quick in the King's Stand, and we think the six furlongs better suits his style of running," the trainer pointed out.

"He had an exhibition gallop (between races) at Randwick (Sydney) on Saturday. He's fit and well, and ready to make the trip," he added.

Holler's G1 victory in Australia came in the Canterbury Stakes, over six and a half furlongs (1,400m), at Randwick on March 5.

He was narrowly beaten in the G1 William Reid Stakes, over six furlongs (1,200m) at Moonee Valley, on March 24. He was beaten a short head by Flamberge.

Holler has won four of his 11 starts. He has never contested a race on a straight course.
