Handfast (John O'Shea/James McDonald) made the most of a good draw and a clever ride to win the Listed South Pacific Classic at Randwick on Saturday, April 9.

The success was followed 15 minutes later by the breakthrough victory of Pyx Chamber (John O'Shea/James Winks) in the ungraded Two-Year-Year-Old Handicap at Sandown in Melbourne.
