Good third for Mysterious Night in G2 July Stakes

Improving colt Mysterious Night took another step forward in his fledgling career when finishing a clear third in the six-furlong G2 July Stakes at Newmarket, UK, on Thursday, 7 July.

The Dark Angel homebred, a comfortable winner of a Newbury conditions race for Charlie Appleby on his previous start, was covered up in last of the field of six juveniles by William Buick.

Mysterious Night made good headway up the stands rail to go third entering the final half-furlong and kept on in the closing stages without challenging Persian Force and Show Respect.
