Godolphin Mile bid possible with Alabaster

Alabaster, trained by Saeed bin Suroor and partnered by Oisin Murphy, ran another good race on dirt when third in the G3 Burj Nahaar Sponsored By Emirates Holidays over a mile at Meydan on Super Saturday, March 4.

The five-year-old son of Medaglia d’Oro was slow into stride and raced in last of the 13 runners.

Alabaster improved to seventh turning in and made further progress on the outside in the straight to take third.

Heavy Metal was the impressive winner in 1m 37.19s, with Ross second, a half-length in front of Alabaster.

Saeed bin Suroor added: “Alabaster tries hard and has run another good race.

“We will see if it is worth challenging for the Godolphin Mile (G2, 1m, dirt, March 25).”
