Godolphin 1,000 Mile Challenge 2018

The third renewal of the Godolphin 1,000 Mile Challenge took place at Moulton Paddocks, Newmarket on Sunday, 14 October and once again saw a large group of Godolphin staff, family and friends, run, jog or walk around the scenic route in aid of charity.

Despite the somewhat testing conditions, over 140 members of the team took on either the five or 10-mile challenge, following a series of shorter races for the children.

This year, all funds raised will go to East Anglian Air Ambulance and MAGPAS, who were both in attendance and remarked afterwards on what a great atmosphere and turnout there was, despite the weather.

Also in attendance was World and Olympic Champion rower Paul Bennett MBE, who provided a much-needed warm up for competitors and was also on hand to present the trophies to the winners afterwards.

Hugh Anderson, Managing Director of Godolphin UK and Dubai, said, "Everyone who was involved in the Godolphin 1,000 Mile Challenge today should be very proud of their efforts.

"From children to veterans like me, we beat the weather and raised a good amount for charity.

"At Godolphin, on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, we pride ourselves on making a contribution to our industry and our communities beyond racing.  This is a perfect example of that spirit.

Thanks to Paul Bennett MBE and the organisers for making it such a success”
