G3 Tempted Stakes second for Enliven

Enliven finished runner-up on her Graded race debut in the seven-runner G3 Tempted Stakes over a mile on dirt at Aqueduct, USA, on Friday, 2 November.

The two-year-old Ghostzapper filly, having her third start, raced in third on the outside under Joe Bravo.

She closed in on the leaders turning in and came to challenge in the straight, taking the lead briefly before the winner Oxy Lady surged clear ahead in the final furlong.

Oxy Lady, whose time came to 1m 38.88s, went five lengths clear of Enliven who in turn kept on well to beat the third Surge Of Pride by seven lengths.

Kiaran McLaughlin commented: “I was really pleased with Enliven’s performance.

“She ran well against an impressive winner.

“If she comes out of this race fine, Enliven will return to Aqueduct on December 1 for the G2 Demoiselle Stakes over a mile and an eighth.”
