Excellent second for Best Solution in German G1

Racenews

Best Solution ran very well to finish runner-up in the G1 Grosser Dallmayr-Preis over 10 furlongs at Munich, Germany, on Sunday, July 30.

The three-year-old Kodiac colt, trained by Saeed bin Suroor and ridden by Gerald Mosse, was beaten a length and half by Iquitos whose time was 2m 5.12s on going officially described as good.

The third Potemkin was a further two and three quarter lengths in arrears.

Best Solution, taking on older horses for the first time, was always prominent but could not repel the winner inside the final furlong.

Saeed bin Suroor commented: “Best Solution ran well and I was happy with his performance.

“He is a very useful performer and he had some good horses behind him today.

“We will see how he comes out of this race and then make some plans for him.”
