Enliven out to brighten up G3 Tempted Stakes

Racenews

Progressive two-year-old filly Enliven makes her Graded debut in the mile G3 Tempted Stakes on dirt at Aqueduct, USA, on Friday, 2 November.

The Ghostzapper filly, a half-sister to G2 scorer Enticed out of multiple G1 winner It’s Tricky, stayed on well for a comfortable victory in a Belmont Park maiden on dirt over an extended mile on 30 September.

She finished fourth on her debut for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin in a six-furlong dirt contest at Saratoga on 26 August.

Enliven, with regular jockey Joe Bravo up and drawn seven, faces nine other juvenile fillies headed by G1 Frizette Stakes runner-up Brucia La Terra, Maid Of The Mist Stakes winner Surge Of Pride plus Seek And Destroy and Hollywood Glory, who were first and second in the Chelsey Flower Stakes at Belmont Park.

Kiaran McLaughlin commented: “Enliven is a well-bred filly who has always done everything right and has been training very well.

“We were disappointed with her debut, but she ran a huge race last time.

“It’s a big step up to a G3, but she is doing really well and we are looking forward to seeing how she gets on.”
