Emotionless Pleases In Racecourse Gallop

Emotionless completed a major step in his preparation for this year's English 2000 Guineas with a racecourse gallop at Newmarket on Wednesday, April 13.

Emotionless completed a major step in his preparation for this year's English 2000 Guineas with a racecourse gallop at Newmarket on Wednesday, April 13.

The Shamardal colt, an impressive winner of the G2 Champagne Stakes last season, worked over seven furlongs under William Buick alongside two stable companions.

His trainer Charlie Appleby commented: "I was really pleased with Emotionless today and I am very happy with where we are ahead of the 2000 Guineas.

"We got out of today's gallop exactly what we wanted and it was of huge benefit to the horse, both mentally and physically.

"The experience has done him a world of good and now we just need to keep him ticking over until the 2000 Guineas (Newmarket, April 30)."

William Buick added: "Emotionless galloped out very strongly through the line. He was very clean in his wind and his action felt great.

"I was very pleased and couldn't have asked for any more."
