As stallions come and go, the incredible Dubawi keeps building a record of sustained excellence.

Today, at Chantilly, the Godolphin-owned Crown Walk became Dubawi’s 100th individual ‘Group’ winner when landing the G3 Prix Chloe.

The winning distance was a nose, with jockey William Buick getting a response from the filly all the way to the line.

Buick said: “This filly is very tough. She dug deep and kept fighting on. I am very glad to have ridden Dubawi’s 100th Group winner.

“To do it in the Godolphin blue for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed is very special,” he added.

Trainer Henri Alex Pantall saddled the three-year-old filly, who is out of American-bred mare Dunnes River.

Pantall paid tribute to Dubawi, the stallion. “I have trained many Dubawi fillies and I have really loved them. They are very courageous...any size, any distance, they are all good. And they go on any ground” the trainer said.

So many of Dubawi’s impressive century of winners have proved to be fantastic racehorses, scores of them in the image of the stallion, whose crowning achievement as a racehorse was a triumph in the G1 Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville.

Monterosso, the G1 Dubai World Cup winner, Postponed, the G1 King George winner, Al Kazeem, G1 Coral Eclipse, Akeed Mofeed, G1 Hong Kong Cup, head a highly impressive list of 100 winners in racing’s elite.
