Cinderella’s Dream aims to double her G1 tally as she takes on some familiar rivals in the Falmouth Stakes, highlight on day two of Newmarket’s July Festival, Friday, 11 July.

The Shamardal four-year-old enjoyed an excellent campaign in North America last year, winning the G1 Belmont Oaks and G2 Saratoga Oaks before an unlucky second in the G1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf.

Following a surprise defeat on her 2025 return in Meydan’s G2 Balanchine, Cinderella’s Dream bounced back with an easy victory in the G2 Dahlia Stakes on Newmarket’s Rowley Mile course, in which she trounced last year’s 1,000 Guineas heroine Elmalka by four and a half lengths.

Cinderella’s Dream met with defeat on her latest start as she went down by just under two lengths in second to Crimson Advocate in the G2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot, with the winner and fourth Running Lion reopposing at Newmarket.

Trainer Charlie Appleby said: “Cinderella’s Dream has come out of Ascot in good shape. We know a mile is on the sharper side for her, but we feel the straight mile here will suit her better than the turning mile last time. Hopefully, she goes there with a live chance.”
