Godolphin's African Story and Prince Bishop will break from stalls three and one respectively in the US$10-million Group One Dubai World Cup Sponsored By Emirates Airline which has nine runners at Meydan, UAE, on Saturday, March 28.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained runners contested the world's richest race last year, when it was run on Tapeta, with African Story winning from stall six and Prince Bishop finishing ninth after missing the break from gate one.

Saeed bin Suroor commented: "African Story won the Dubai World Cup on Tapeta last year and Round Three of the Maktoum Challenge on dirt last time out. The surface doesn't make any real difference to him as good horses handle any surface.

"I am happy with stall three for him. The horse has a good turn of foot and can take any position in the race for James Doyle.

"Prince Bishop had a little problem in the past when he jumped from the stalls but I hope that he can start well this time.

"He is tough and has done well this year. He was close to African Story on his latest outing and worked well earlier this week.

"I am happy with him and we will talk to William Buick about keeping him in a handy position this time."

True Story (Saeed bin Suroor/James Doyle) will break from stall three in the US$6-million Group One Dubai Sheema Classic Presented By Longines over 12 furlongs on turf on Dubai World Cup night.

The trainer added: "I would like to see True Story prominent in the race though it depends how fast the pace is. Stall three means there are plenty of options."

Ahtoug (Charlie Appleby/William Buick) was allotted gate 13 of 16 in the Group One Al Quoz Sprint Empowered By IPIC over five furlongs on turf.

Charlie Appleby said: "I was pleased with Ahtoug's draw. In sprints at Meydan, I am always happier when my horses are drawn towards the stand's side. There is also plenty of speed around him so I am very happy being drawn 13."
