Abu Qir Bay chasing more G3 glory in Kitakyushu Kinen

Abu Qir Bay bids for back-to-back G3 victories as she takes on older sprinters for the first time in the Kitakyushu Kinen at Kokura, Japan, on Sunday, 6 July.

The three-year-old daughter of Fine Needle has already proven herself against male opposition, having flashed home to take Kyoto’s G3 Aoi Stakes at the end of May.

Trained by Tomoyasu Sakaguchi, Abu Qir Bay made a winning introduction at Fukushima last July and scored over the Kitakyushu Kinen course and distance when taking a Stakes race in January.
