Abduction returns to a mile and a quarter for the Group Three TAB Adrian Knox Stakes at Royal Randwick, Australia, on Saturday, April 4.

The John O'Shea-trained filly was headed near the line to finish second on her only previous start over the trip in the Group Two Racing.com Wakeful Stakes at Flemington in November.

The three-year-old was a close eighth in the Group One Coolmore Classic over seven and a half furlongs at Rosehill Gardens on March 14, and finished down the field in the seven-furlong Group Two Surround Stakes at Warwick Farm on February 28.

Abduction kept on well to take fifth in the Group One Crown Oaks over 12 and a half furlongs, also at Flemington, in November and scored by a neck in the Listed Bacardi Reginald Allen Quality at Rosehill Gardens in September. James McDonald rides the daughter of Street Cry.

John O'Shea commented: "Abduction is well weighted going into this grade and getting out to a more suitable distance of 10 furlongs.

"She was very effective at this trip in the spring when she ran in the Wakeful Stakes, in which she was a tad unlucky.

"I was extremely happy with her gallop on Tuesday morning and from gate 10 James will ride her conservatively. She is coming to a peak at the right time and there is no reason why she won't be in the finish of this race."

Abduction opposes 12 including Group Three runner-up Wine Tales, Group Two second Maastricht and the improving Zarzali.
