4th foal; brother to 7f 2yo winner Al Dabaran (inc Listed; RPR 106), half-brother to 6f-1m winner Warning Fire (93); dam placed 1m2f (76), closely related to 10.5f Gr 3 winner Waldlerche (dam of Waldgeist), half-sister to Leger winner Masked Marvel; won a 1m2f maiden on his 2yo debut at Newmarket and then not seen until winning again over the same C&D in April the following year; well- beaten second behind smart sort when next seen in Group 3 Chester Vase (1m4f) in May; convincing winner of a 10f handicap at Newmarket on next start in July, where he looked sure to benefit from a return to further; duly won Group 3 Gordon Stakes over 1m4f at Goodwood at the end of the same month; followed that with a solid second (finished third but was promoted to second) in the St Leger at Doncaster; encouraging third in 12f Listed race at Newmarket on next start in July 2023 but was readily seen off in the Group 1 Grosser Preis Von Berlin; second, beaten a neck, in 12f Listed race at Newmarket in late September; gelded afterwards and fair fourth over inadequate 10f at Meydan in February 2024 before a third in a 1m6f Group 3 at the same venue.
